Job Requirements

- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
- Ability to attend to detail in fast-paced surgical settings
- Capability to follow strict protocols for equipment handling and medication management

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment
- Experience working in a healthcare or surgical environment preferred
- Proficiency with anesthesia equipment and patient monitoring systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a perioperative team
- Knowledge of infection control and equipment sterilization procedures
Job Duties
- Prepare and organize equipment and supplies for scheduled and emergent anesthetizing cases
- Review surgical schedules to ensure essential anesthesia equipment availability
- Transport and set up anesthesia equipment including laryngoscope blades, monitors, EKG cables, ETCO2 lines, pulse oximetry cables, temperature cables, and oxygen tanks/tubing
- Assure all equipment is decontaminated and in good working condition prior to each procedure
- Follow department procedures for procurement and handling of non-controlled medications, IV fluids, contrast media, and irrigating fluids
- Perform room turnover between procedures including cleaning, restocking anesthesia supplies, and cleaning/storing equipment
- Calibrate and troubleshoot minor malfunctions of anesthesia equipment and report damaged or unsafe equipment
- Respond promptly to on-call situations as scheduled
