Job Requirements
- high school graduate or equivalent
- current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or to be obtained prior to completion of orientation
- experience in operating room housekeeping preferred
- general housekeeping experience acceptable
- experience in cleaning and processing surgical instrumentation preferred
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- ability to maintain records and label items
- physical and mental health sufficient to accomplish duties
- ability to work well with others in environment of maximum activity
Job Qualifications
- high school graduate or equivalent
- current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or to be obtained prior to completion of orientation
- experience in Operating Room housekeeping preferred

- physical and mental health sufficient to perform duties of Ancillary Float
- ability to work well with others in a high-activity environment
Job Duties
- Perform terminal cleaning
- complete daily housekeeping duties
- complete weekly housekeeping duties
- complete monthly housekeeping duties
- complete quarterly housekeeping duties
- collaborate with Operating Room RNs to ensure equipment cleanliness and availability
- safely transport patients to and from the surgical department
- restock supply carts in operating rooms
- maintain good public relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff
- assist other areas within the department as requested
- handle infectious material safely
