Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years experience in event planning within financial services or investment banking
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to negotiate contracts effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends when necessary
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking skills
  • Ability to plan for crisis management and contingency scenarios

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years experience in planning conferences and events in investment banking or financial services
  • Event Management Certificate and/or CMP Certification an asset
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work with senior leadership, external clients, and suppliers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and changing elements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with event tools like Cvent
  • Knowledge of virtual event platforms such as On24, Open Exchange, WebEx Webinars

Job Duties

  • Design and develop conferences and events that align with company objectives and enhance brand experience
  • Drive brand awareness and customer engagement through high-quality events
  • Negotiate contracts with venues, suppliers, and external vendors
  • Manage overall program budgets and resources for conferences and events
  • Oversee development and delivery of small and mid-sized conferences and events
  • Develop event marketing analytics and assist with ticket and event center requests
  • Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to advance event strategy
