  • Knowledge and experience with menu preparation and implementation
  • Culinary degree
  • Pastry experience

Job Duties

  • Prepare food to the executive chef’s specifications
  • Assist kitchen staff with daily tasks
  • Work independently to support kitchen team with prep and line cook duties
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff with projects, inventories, deliveries, kitchen maintenance and cleanings
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe working environment
  • Report accidents, issues or policy violations to kitchen leadership
  • Support the museum’s commitment to quality customer service and products
  • Flexibly assist in preparing foods for other dining venues as needed
  • Help prepare food for Best Café, Special Events and Floris when directed
