Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in transportation logistics or customer service is a plus
  • strong communication skills
  • excellent attention to detail
  • ability to multitask under pressure
  • proficient organizational skills
  • basic familiarity with load boards and TMS (training available)

Job Duties

  • Provide drivers with updated instructions, addresses, and appointment times
  • track ETAs, delays, breakdowns, and HOS considerations
  • help drivers resolve road issues quickly and professionally
  • confirm pickup and delivery appointments
  • track loads and provide real-time updates to brokers/shippers
  • verify BOLs, PODs, and ensure the freight matches the bill (prevent wrong-load issues)
  • estimate realistic load/unload times
  • prevent overscheduling and tight back-to-back appointment windows
  • upload all paperwork into the TMS
  • track detention, layover, and TONU opportunities
  • keep clean, accurate load notes
  • send check calls and status updates
  • notify brokers of changes or delays
  • maintain positive, professional relationships with shippers/brokers
