Job Requirements
- high school degree or equivalent
- minimum six months work experience in customer relations, parties or events
- ability to perform diverse physical tasks including lifting approximately 30 to 50 pounds
- constant standing and walking
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- good verbal and communication skills
- must enjoy public speaking and working with children
- knowledge of local and state health sanitation laws
- ability to work in a loud environment
Job Qualifications
- high school degree or equivalent
- undergraduate education preferred
- minimum of six months work experience in customer relations, parties or events
- one to two years experience in high-volume, fine-casual dining or related restaurant preferred
- experience working with children preferred
- current ServeSafe certification preferred
- good verbal and communication skills
- enjoys public speaking and working with children
- possesses warm and friendly demeanor
- ability to perform diverse physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- achieves and delivers timely steps of party execution including customer communications prior to the event
- creates and maintains a pleasant ambiance in dining and party rooms
- works with party team to greet and seat guests promptly
- shares store and event information with guests
- takes and delivers beverage and food orders
- upsells and services parties throughout events
- prepares desserts and handles to-go transactions
- processes checks and resets tables
- conducts daily cleanup and restocks supplies
- meets sales goals and budgetary guidelines
- works with external vendors and places product orders in a timely manner
- ensures customer satisfaction by providing exceptional party experiences and resolving service issues graciously
- executes events to American Girl standards including games, crafts and doll styling
- maintains ongoing party communications with staff, management and retail sales department
- follows local and state health sanitation laws and food safety guidelines
- assigns and completes daily tasks for front and back of house areas
- possesses thorough knowledge of InfoGenesis system to complete transactions correctly
- trains and assists teammates and supports various restaurant areas as needed
