Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to relate to a wide variety of people
  • Ability to use active listening skills, be empathetic and non-objective
  • Knowledge of hospital and medical center helpful
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to implement CPR and current BLS certification
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Assist the patient and family throughout their hospital visit
  • Assist with requests for patient information
  • Proactively provide excellent customer service to all who visit NOCH
  • Direct complaints to appropriate staff via the online complaint process or through a department manager
  • Address special needs that may arise for families or visitors
  • Assist valet service when needed
  • Assist information desk when needed
  • Assist in screening patients, staff and guests coming into the facility when screener is busy or unavailable
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
