Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in stewarding or kitchen operations, preferably in a luxury resort or high-volume setting
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within hospitality or food and beverage operations preferred
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards, food safety regulations, and kitchen best practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on team building and staff development
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • ServSafe or HACCP certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate morning stewarding operations, ensuring an efficient and organized kitchen environment
  • Train, mentor, and manage stewarding staff to uphold the resort’s high sanitation and cleanliness standards
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including HACCP and OSHA standards
  • Monitor the cleanliness and functionality of all kitchen equipment, dishwashing machines, and sanitation tools, reporting maintenance needs promptly
  • Oversee the organization of kitchen storage areas, ensuring proper handling and storage of dishware, cookware, and cleaning supplies
  • Support the culinary and banquet teams by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and tools, assisting with ordering as needed
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and banquet areas to ensure compliance with resort standards
  • Assist in creating staff schedules, managing labor costs, and ensuring adequate coverage during shifts
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment by promoting teamwork and communication within the stewarding team and across departments
  • Other duties as assigned
