Job Description

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is a prestigious luxury resort located in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. This hotel is a key component of a major development project that features an extensive network of 17 ski lifts, around 1,600 residential units, eight hotels totaling approximately 1,350 rooms, over 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest ski beaches in the world. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • True desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced and high volume environment
  • Previous food service experience
  • Current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • Previous food service experience
  • Hospitality industry or fine dining experience preferred
  • Current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to lift moderate weights
  • Ability to stand for long periods

Job Duties

  • Submit guest menu selections and present food and beverage orders
  • Provide menu knowledge and recommend cuisine and drink options
  • Engage guests in casual conversation to enhance the dining experience
  • Perform general restaurant preparation tasks
  • Maintain a sanitary and clean environment in the restaurant
  • Deliver high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service
