The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is a luxurious resort located in the prestigious Deer Valley ski area, approximately 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. This premier hotel is part of an ambitious new development that boasts 17 ski lifts, around 1,600 residential units, eight hotels offering approximately 1,350 rooms in total, approximately 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the world's largest "ski beaches." Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Desire to satisfy customer needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility in scheduling with availability on weekends and holidays
  • Previous food service experience required
  • Must have alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as mandated by local authorities

  • Previous food service or restaurant experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Customer service oriented
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government

Job Duties

  • Submit guest menu selections
  • Present food and beverage orders to guests
  • Engage in casual conversation to enhance the dining experience
  • Gain and apply menu knowledge to recommend cuisine and drinks
  • Maintain a sanitary environment in the restaurant
  • Assist in general restaurant preparation
  • Uphold Hyatt service standards through style and service attributes
