Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Three to six months experience in food and beverage service
- Vision ability to see detailed guest checks and instructions in dim lighting
- Manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items and carry trays
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Ability to lift, push and carry 20 to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand continuously for long periods
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to handle customer service issues tactfully
Job Qualifications

- Three to six months experience in a food and beverage services environment
- Ability to memorize menus and specials
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays with food and beverages
- Basic mathematics skills for handling payments
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Job Duties
- Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers, serving the orders and accommodating special needs or requests
- Remain attentive to customers throughout the dining experience adhering to or exceeding service standards
- Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side-work
- Memorize menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness standards in restaurant, wait-station and kitchen service area
- Control allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures
- Receive proper payment from guest and ensure accuracy of guest check and payment method
- Attend all pre-meal and departmental meetings to enhance communication and knowledge
- Respond to customer inquiries and comments in person and on phone by providing timely and knowledgeable information
- Present a clean and professional appearance at all times
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor always
- Use tact and understanding in dealing with customer service problems including stressful and emotional situations
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested by management
