Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- five years prior experience in similar position
- must obtain TABC and Food Handlers certification prior to beginning work
- reliable and responsible
- ability to read, listen, and communicate in English
- basic math skills
- ability to operate kitchen appliances
- knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation
- ability to grasp, lift, carry or move goods weighting up to 50 pounds regularly
- ability to perform duties in confined spaces
- ability to remain on feet for long periods
- ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

- ability to operate kitchen appliances such as stoves, ovens, and mixers
Job Duties
- Receive orders from restaurant servers and prepare the order in line with the Executive Chef's instruction
- maintain appropriate sanitation of the line with Health Department and Moody Gardens standards
- assist in all necessary preparation for buffet and operations of line
- check all coolers at the beginning and end of shift and make sure they are all running at the right temperature
- handle fresh seafood with care ensuring it is iced down around the clock
- keep the line clean at all times
- check the banquet function sheet every morning
- set the line for the next day
- keep up with stock and alert Executive Chef if an item has run out or is running low
- follow recipes at all times
- perform any and all other duties as assigned with flexibility
