Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience as a line cook at a hotel or full-service restaurant
- Ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Commensurate or transfer skill set is of primary importance
- Good attitude and work ethic practices in order to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required
Job Duties
- Complete opening duties including setting up work station with required tools, equipment, and supplies according to standards
- Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies
- Check production schedule and pars
- Establish priority items for the day
- Inform the Chef/Kitchen Manager of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day’s tasks
- Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas
- Start prep work on items needed for the particular menu of the day
- Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides according to department standards
- Inform the Chef/Kitchen Manager of any shortages before the item runs out
- Inform Food and Beverage service staff of 86’d items and the amount of available menu specials throughout the meal period
