Job Requirements

  • No formal education required
  • ability to work full-time or part-time
  • able to perform physical tasks such as crouching, stooping, twisting, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and pushing carts up to 300 pounds
  • ability to work in hot environments up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
  • readiness to handle food, knives, and cleaning chemicals safely
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to work flexible shifts

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation preferred
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow detailed instructions

Job Duties

  • Follow Executive Chefs guidelines on cooking technique and plating
  • assist in the proper utilization of excess food product for lowest possible attainable food cost
  • set up and maintain stock of food-preparation line
  • prepare food as required in a timely manner
  • attend required meetings
  • keep work areas clean, sanitized, and organized
  • be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
  • report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
  • maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions
  • perform any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor
