Job Requirements
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- have three years cooking experience preferred
- possess basic knowledge of food preparation, service standards, and guest relations
- demonstrate good knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking
- understand sanitation standards
- have knowledge of operating kitchen equipment
- show basic math skills
- communicate sufficiently in English
- comprehend product labeling
- operate beverage equipment
- be physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs
- have manual dexterity for kitchen tools
- work under extreme temperature conditions
- work in confined spaces
- perform frequent physical activities such as twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card

- experience in broiler cooking preferred
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards
- good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
- understanding of accepted sanitation standards
- knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
- basic math skills for recipe and portion control
- basic English language skills for communication
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to operate beverage equipment
Job Duties
- Prepares daily preparation lists for production
- reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
- prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest check specifications
- visually inspects, selects, and uses only high standard food items for menu preparation
- checks and controls proper product storage and portion control to maintain quality
- keeps all refrigeration, equipment, and working areas clean and compliant with health regulations
- maintains logs for cooling, heating, and temperature
- adheres to company policies and procedures
- follows safety and security procedures
- reports unsafe conditions and accidents to management
- assists other kitchen personnel when needed
