Job Requirements
- 1 year of previous experience in a related or supportive role preferred
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to diplomatically handle difficult situations and people
- Ability to perform physical tasks including balancing, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, bending, crouching, lifting up to 75-100+lbs
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and interruptions
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food handler certification if applicable
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation policies consistently
Job Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a related or supportive kitchen position preferred
- Proficiency in cooking stations such as garde manger, sauté, fry, and grill
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively
- Food handler certification if applicable
- Skilled in knife use and basic kitchen equipment
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Follow departmental policies and restaurant rules and regulations
- Report maintenance or repair needs to the Executive Chef
- Prevent spoiling and contamination of foods by implementing proper sanitation practices
- Comply with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Stock and maintain food product levels at line stations
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including grills, broilers, fryers, ovens, and refrigeration equipment
- Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests
- Demonstrate knowledge and execution of menu items and specifications
- Deliver food on a timely basis and educate employees on menu details
- Assist in daily cleaning of pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, stairs, walk-in, and prep area
