Job Duties
- Warmly welcome arriving guests with a smile and eye contact, escort them to their table, provide menus, and introduce their server
- Communicate effectively with guests and staff to ensure a seamless transition to the service team
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries with professionalism
- Coordinate the flow of guests into dining and bar areas, offering accurate wait time updates when needed
- Address any special guest requests or needs with care and attention
- Stay attentive to guests’ needs during their visit, spotting when a drink needs refilling and coordinating with staff to handle it
- Follow safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations to ensure a secure environment
- Support the dining team by assisting with tasks like clearing tables, refilling water, or delivering drinks
- Process takeout orders, including verifying items, calculating totals with taxes, and handling payments via cash, credit, or check
- Pitch in wherever needed to keep the team running smoothly
