Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • six months to one year in a food and beverage or customer service role
  • ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
  • manual dexterity and physical capability to carry and handle food items and trays
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to read and communicate in English
  • able to lift 20 to 40 pounds
  • reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • six months to one year in a food and beverage role or similar customer service roles
  • ability to work well in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and carry containers and trays loaded with food and liquids
  • ability to read, speak and understand English
  • ability to lift, push, carry 20 to 40 pounds
  • ability to stand continuously for long periods
  • effective communication skills to relay information and hotel services to management, staff and guests

Job Duties

  • Coordinate food orders to guarantee timely and efficient delivery to guests
  • maintain knowledge of all ingredient details to each dish on the menu
  • communicate clearly with the kitchen and front of house staff
  • maintain high food safety and sanitation standards
  • deliver food to guests in both the dining room and guest rooms
  • take all in-room dining orders communicating with guest daily specials, estimated time of arrival, cash in advance/room charge policy, in accordance with policies and procedures
  • process guest checks and perform all cash handling responsibilities in accordance with hotel policies and procedures
  • complete all shift side work as outlined in the hotel operating policies and procedures
  • respond to customer needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure quality experience and enhance future sales
  • report all communications to immediate shift supervisor
  • conduct floor sweeps and retrieve all food and beverage trays to maintain established sanitation guidelines
  • set-up and deliver all VIP amenities
  • service all hospitality suites in accordance with BEO and established policy and procedures
  • check with guest to ensure enjoyment of meals and take action to correct any problems
