Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience in food and beverage operation
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
  • Must have good verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • Must have intermediate computer skills
  • Must have basic computational skills
  • Ability to analyze and make judgments to ensure proper tools are provided at property level
  • Must possess good leadership capability and customer relations skills
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Must be self-driven and able to work independently
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Must have excellent hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting, and visual abilities
  • Must comply with Azul Hospitality grooming and attendance standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in food and beverage operation
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
  • Excellent leadership capability and customer relations skills
  • Detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Basic computational skills
  • Knowledge of computer programs including Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS
  • Self-driven and able to work independently
  • Strong issue resolution and analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation
  • Ability to distinguish product quality, taste, texture, and presentation
  • Ability to conduct meetings, menu briefings and maintain communication lines between line staff and departmental managers

Job Duties

  • Support and supervise the hotel food and beverage outlets while working closely with the rest of the food and beverage leadership team
  • Maintain consistent communication with vendors and suppliers for timely rollout of seasonal food options
  • Participate in department monthly, quarterly, and annual inventories
  • prepare and submit inventory reports to accounting in a timely manner
  • Monitor quality of service and product
  • Cooperate in menu planning and preparation
  • Conduct orders of food and beverage supplies
  • Stay up to date on brand requirements and changes to the restaurant
  • Ensure attendance at all mandatory meetings
  • Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and staff satisfaction results
  • Responsible for maintaining high energy, positive attitude, and professional appearance
  • Perform any general cleaning tasks using the hotel's standard procedures and adhering to safety and health standards
  • Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer acceptance of the restaurant and bar
  • Recommend new operating and marketing policies whenever declining or constant sales imply dissatisfaction by customers
  • Continuously evaluate performance and encourage improvement of the food and beverage staff members
  • Responsible for maintaining quality of food product and ensuring consistency in food delivery and standards
  • Arrange, provide, and supervise training of new staff members including familiarization of property, standard operating procedures, and policies
  • Cross-train staff members in all positions within their area of responsibility
  • Serve as a role model adhering strictly to policies and procedures, and practicing the highest standards of performance
  • Assist with guest inquiries
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
