Job Duties

  • Load, run and unload dish machine ensuring dishes, glassware, flatware and silverware are sanitized
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for pots, pans and trays requiring hand washing
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware and utensils for machine washing
  • Sort and stack clean and dry dishes
  • Transport clean dishes to cook's line and storage areas
  • Change dishwater in dish machine every hour
  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
  • Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions
  • Sweep, scrub and mop floors
  • Maintain dish pit cleanliness
  • Notify Manager if dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety temperatures
  • Clean garbage cans with water or steam
  • Monitor and report functional or mechanical issues
  • Clean and scrub walls
  • Prepare various foods for cooking and serving
  • Follow safety and sanitation procedures per OSHA and health guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
