Job Requirements
- Must have and maintain an active Handlers' Card (ServSafe) and adhere to local food handler requirement
- Maintain an exceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance
- Consistently perform all duties in a responsible and efficient manner
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 year experience in a full-service kitchen environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to handle physical demands of the role
- Professional appearance and behavior
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Basic food preparation skills
Job Duties
- Load, run and unload dish machine ensuring proper cleaning and sanitation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for pots, pans, and trays needing hand washing
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes and utensils for machine wash
- Sort and stack clean and dry dishes
- Transport clean dishes to cook's line and storage areas
- Change dishwater in dish machine hourly
- Sort and remove trash to designated pickup areas
- Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
- Sweep, scrub and mop floors
- Maintain dish pit clean
- Notify manager of any dish machine safety standard temperature issues
- Clean garbage cans with water or steam
- Wash hands before handling clean dishes
- Monitor and report functional or mechanical problems
- Clean and scrub walls
- Clean and prepare various foods for cooking and serving
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures per OSHA and health guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
