Job Requirements
- Must have and maintain an active Handlers' Card (ServSafe) and adhere to local food handler requirements
- Maintain an exceptional record of punctuality and attendance
- Consistently perform duties responsibly and efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting heavy items
- Good or correctable vision
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 year experience in a full-service kitchen environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures
- Ability to maintain professionalism and customer service
- Understanding of safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Load, run and unload dish machine ensuring sanitation standards
- Hand wash pots, pans and trays as needed
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes and utensils
- Stack clean and dry dishes
- Transport clean dishes to storage and cook’s line
- Change dishwater in dish machine hourly
- Sort and remove trash to designated areas
- Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning solutions
- Sweep, scrub and mop floors
- Maintain dish pit cleanliness
- Monitor dish machine temperatures and report issues
- Clean garbage cans using water or steam
- Maintain hand hygiene when handling dishes
- Report functional or mechanical problems with equipment
- Clean and scrub kitchen walls
- Prepare various foods for cooking and serving
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures per OSHA and health regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
