Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial kitchen preferred
  • ServSafe or similar certification preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to stand, walk, crouch, kneel for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in wet, hot, humid, and slippery conditions
  • Availability for full-time shifts
  • Willingness to work under stressful conditions
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes
  • Ability to engage with customers positively

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary school graduate preferred
  • 1-2 years of commercial kitchen experience preferred
  • ServSafe or similar food safety certification preferred
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience in guest-facing roles
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques including baking, broiling, grilling, sautéing, roasting, blanching
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety guidelines
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional situations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments
  • Ability to collaborate to achieve team goals
  • Positive customer engagement skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment including pre and post shift cleaning and organization
  • Prepare and serve food items according to standardized recipes and chef specifications
  • Follow daily preparation lists to ensure items are ready for service
  • Assist with storage of food deliveries
  • Report any problems with food product or kitchen equipment to Chef De Cuisine or Sous chef
  • Work a food station during service including direct guest interaction if required
  • Ensure accurate portion sizes and presentation of dishes
  • Manage cooking times to prepare and serve food timely especially during peak hours
  • Work closely with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operation
  • Safely operate and train others on kitchen equipment
