Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in food service or hospitality
  • meet the state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
  • strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude
  • ServSafe and/or food safety certification or willingness to obtain
  • alcohol awareness training (TIPS or equivalent) preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent (some college a plus)
  • knowledge of local attractions is a bonus
  • bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve Starbucks coffee beverages and bistro menu items with accuracy and speed
  • take guest orders, deliver food and beverages to tables, and ensure every guest feels welcomed
  • collect payments and process transactions accurately
  • keep the bistro area sparkling clean and fully stocked
  • follow all food and beverage safety standards (hotel, Shaner, and Marriott requirements)
  • communicate effectively with the GM, department managers, and fellow team members
  • complete opening/closing procedures and daily operational checklists
  • jump in to help wherever needed - teamwork makes the dream work
