Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
  • Prior sewing experience is helpful
  • Prior experience with computerized POS system
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend
  • Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to communicate clearly and hear customers
  • Manual dexterity to use POS terminals, count money, steam garments, and handle phones
  • Ability to see close and distant objects and use peripheral vision and depth perception

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
  • Prior sewing experience is helpful
  • Prior experience with computerized POS system
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customers simultaneously
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to maintain dress code standards
  • Competence in garment care including pressing and steaming

Job Duties

  • Welcome customers with enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats, and in person
  • Manage customer flow using all systems to deliver five-star customer service
  • Prepare, welcome, meet needs, and be present for all customers including operational checklist tasks
  • Provide exceptional service experience to multiple customers simultaneously
  • Communicate alterations' role in perfecting dresses and promote alterations services
  • Maintain store standards including cleanliness, organization, and promotional readiness
  • Greet and escort customers to and from alterations appointments
  • Press, steam, and spot clean merchandise
  • Inspect all altered garments to ensure quality control
  • Build long-term customer relationships to exceed satisfaction and loyalty
  • Support inventory management through processing special orders and merchandise standards
  • Handle cash wrap transactions accurately and support related behaviors
  • Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager for unresolved customer issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized alterations room
  • Perform duties assigned by store management
