Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
  • Prior sewing experience is helpful
  • Prior experience with computerized POS system
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods and perform manual tasks
  • Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds
  • Capability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Maintain dress code standards

Job Duties

  • Welcome and assist customers over the phone, virtual chats and in person
  • Manage customer flow using all systems to deliver excellent service
  • Meet all service standards including preparing, welcoming, meeting needs and being present for customers
  • Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously and handle conflict resolution
  • Communicate the importance of alterations and promote services and personalization options
  • Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and promotional readiness
  • Greet and escort alterations customers for appointments
  • Press, steam and spot clean garments
  • Inspect altered garments to ensure quality before final delivery
  • Build long-term customer relationships to exceed satisfaction
  • Process special orders, pickups and maintain inventory standards
  • Handle cash wrap processes and transactions accurately
  • Seek assistance from Alterations Manager for unresolved issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized alterations room
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by store management
