Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store
  • Basic sewing skills preferred
  • Proficiency with computerized POS systems
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Good manual dexterity for sewing and garment handling
  • Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work weekends primarily

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in apparel or specialty store
  • Prior sewing experience helpful
  • Experience with computerized POS systems
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Welcome customers with genuine enthusiasm over phone, virtual chats and in person
  • Use systems to manage customer flow delivering five-star service
  • Meet all service vows including Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs and Be There
  • Provide exceptional service experience to multiple customers simultaneously
  • Communicate importance of alterations and promote related services
  • Maintain store standards including cleanliness and organization
  • Greet and escort alterations customers
  • Press, steam and spot clean merchandise
  • Inspect garments for quality control before delivery
  • Build long-term relationships to exceed customer satisfaction
  • Support inventory management and process special orders
  • Process cash wrap transactions accurately
  • Seek assistance from Alterations Manager as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized alterations room
  • Perform duties assigned by store management
