Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
  • Prior sewing experience preferred
  • Experience using computerized POS systems
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods
  • Capability to lift and move up to 10 pounds
  • Manual dexterity for using POS terminals, steaming garments and sewing
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Physical ability to crouch, kneel and bend
  • Ability to see up close and at a distance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
  • Prior sewing experience is helpful
  • Experience using computerized POS systems
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle conflict effectively
  • Detail oriented with quality control awareness

Job Duties

  • Welcome customers with genuine enthusiasm over phone, virtual chats and in person
  • Use systems to manage customer flow and deliver five-star experience
  • Meet all service vows including prepare, welcome, meet needs and be there
  • Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously
  • Proactively address customer concerns and escalate when necessary
  • Communicate importance of alterations and promote services
  • Maintain store standards including cleanliness and organization
  • Greet and escort alterations customers for appointments
  • Press, steam and spot clean merchandise
  • Follow quality control guidelines for garment inspection
  • Build long-term customer relationships
  • Support inventory management and process special orders
  • Process transactions accurately and support cash wrap behaviors
  • Seek assistance from Alterations Manager for unresolved issues
  • Maintain clean and organized alterations room
  • Perform duties assigned by store management
