Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior sewing experience preferred
- Experience using computerized POS systems
- Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods
- Capability to lift and move up to 10 pounds
- Manual dexterity for using POS terminals, steaming garments and sewing
- Excellent verbal communication
- Physical ability to crouch, kneel and bend
- Ability to see up close and at a distance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior sewing experience is helpful
- Experience using computerized POS systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and handle conflict effectively
- Detail oriented with quality control awareness
Job Duties
- Welcome customers with genuine enthusiasm over phone, virtual chats and in person
- Use systems to manage customer flow and deliver five-star experience
- Meet all service vows including prepare, welcome, meet needs and be there
- Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously
- Proactively address customer concerns and escalate when necessary
- Communicate importance of alterations and promote services
- Maintain store standards including cleanliness and organization
- Greet and escort alterations customers for appointments
- Press, steam and spot clean merchandise
- Follow quality control guidelines for garment inspection
- Build long-term customer relationships
- Support inventory management and process special orders
- Process transactions accurately and support cash wrap behaviors
- Seek assistance from Alterations Manager for unresolved issues
- Maintain clean and organized alterations room
- Perform duties assigned by store management
