Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store environment
  • prior sewing experience helpful
  • experience with computerized POS system
  • ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
  • manual dexterity to use POS terminals and perform garment handling
  • ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds
  • ability to see up close and at a distance
  • good peripheral vision and depth perception
  • able to use computers, electronic devices, and phones for prolonged periods

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in apparel or specialty store
  • prior sewing experience is helpful
  • prior experience with computerized POS system

  • ability to adapt communication style to customer needs

Job Duties

  • Welcome customers with genuine and friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats, and in person
  • use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver five-star customer experience
  • meet all service vows including Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs & Be There for all customers
  • provide exceptional service experience to multiple customers simultaneously
  • address customer concerns proactively and escalate as necessary
  • communicate importance of alterations in perfecting the dress
  • promote alterations services and personalization options
  • maintain store standards including cleanliness and promotional readiness
  • uphold high dress code standards
  • greet and escort alterations customers to appointments
  • press, steam, and spot clean merchandise
  • inspect garments following quality control guidelines before final delivery
  • build long-term customer relationships
  • support inventory management with special orders, pick-ups, and quality standards
  • support cash wrap behaviors and process transactions accurately
  • seek assistance from Alterations Manager for unresolved issues
  • maintain a clean and organized alterations room
  • perform additional duties as assigned by store management
