Job Requirements
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance
- Move quickly and efficiently within the cafe
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively in English
- Good vision including close-range detail ability
- Flexibility to bend and squat for cleaning and stocking
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of operating a cash register or tablet for order entry
- Ability to speak clearly and project voice for effective communication
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant setting preferred but not required
- A passion for working with the public in a customer-facing role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Flexibility to attend occasional team meetings or training outside of working hours
- Commitment to maintaining a minimum of 3 shifts per week
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and deliver exceptional service
- Explain beverage and food options and build customer rapport
- Handle phone inquiries, process orders, and manage mobile app operations
- Craft consistent, high-quality beverages following Alfred standards
- Maintain coffee equipment and understand coffee and tea origins and flavor profiles
- Prepare food according to Alfred recipes and maintain a clean prep space
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues using active listening and clear communication
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment and restock shelves
- Follow company procedures for cash handling, food safety, sanitation, and hygiene
- Report safety hazards and employee accidents to management
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
