Job Requirements
- GED or high school diploma
- ability to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance
- ability to move quickly and efficiently between cafe areas
- ability to hear and communicate effectively in English
- good close-range vision
- flexibility to bend and squat for cleaning and stocking
- ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced environment
- capable of operating cash register or tablet for order entry
- ability to speak clearly and project voice for communication
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant setting preferred but not required
- passion for working with the public in a customer-facing capacity
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure
- flexibility to attend quarterly team meetings or trainings outside regular working hours
- positive attitude and willingness to learn
- commitment to maintain a minimum of 3 shifts per week
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and deliver exceptional service
- explain beverage and food options and answer customer questions
- handle phone inquiries and process orders accurately
- maintain calm and welcoming presence during busy periods
- craft consistent and high-quality beverages according to Alfred standards
- maintain coffee equipment and understand coffee and tea origins and flavor profiles
- prepare food following Alfred recipes and food safety protocols
- maintain a clean and organized prep space
- report safety hazards to the manager
- collaborate effectively with team members through active listening and communication
- inform management of operational inconsistencies
- ensure clean and organized cafe environment and restock shelves
- assist with deliveries
- follow company procedures for cash handling, hygiene, and sanitation
- report employee accidents and maintain consistent attendance
- adhere to company policies and employee handbook
- complete additional tasks as assigned to meet company goals
