Job Requirements
- GED or high school diploma
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively in English
- Good vision including the ability to see details at close range
- Flexibility to bend and squat for cleaning and stocking tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of operating cash register or tablet device accurately
- Full hand functionality for operating espresso machine and equipment
- Ability to speak clearly and project voice effectively
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant setting preferred but not required
- Passion for working with the public in a customer-facing role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Flexibility to attend quarterly team meetings or trainings
- Ability to maintain a minimum of 3 shifts per week
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and deliver exceptional service
- Explain beverage and food options to customers and answer questions
- Handle phone inquiries and process orders accurately
- Craft consistent, high-quality beverages following Alfred standards
- Maintain coffee equipment and understand coffee and tea origins
- Prepare food according to Alfred recipes and maintain clean prep space
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate operational inconsistencies
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment and support stock management
- Follow all company procedures for cash handling, food safety, and sanitation
- Report safety hazards and employee accidents to management
- Adhere to company policies and perform additional assigned tasks
