Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency
  • Cashier or cash handling experience is highly desirable
  • Valid Class "C" Texas driver’s license

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency
  • Cashier or cash handling experience is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of cashiering procedures
  • Ability to operate a cash register
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain good public relations
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Job Duties

  • Collects parking fees from customers
  • Receives and verifies correct change fund
  • Operates an electronic cash register or time clock to compute fees manually
  • Completes daily reports for assigned zone
  • Verifies and counts money and number of parking tickets collected
  • Turns in daily receipts to fiscal office
  • Monitors assigned parking lot and informs management of any unusual situations or incidents
  • Operates two-way communication radio
  • Responds to customer complaints and accidents
  • Provides customers with directions and information as needed
  • Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required
