Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to stand and walk for 100 percent of shift
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe frequently
  • Able to deliver plates, food, and clear tables with lifting up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to verbalize and clearly respond to guests
  • Ability to read and write handwritten notes
  • Must love working with and supporting others as a team

  • Preferred experience in a restaurant setting for at least one year
  • Availability for day shift (preferred), night shift (required), weekend and holiday shifts (required)

Job Duties

  • Ensure that all guests have an awesome experience and are excited to come back
  • Prepare a variety of food with diverse preparation methods according to Concept Chef guidelines
  • Take full responsibility for the quality of food served
  • Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules consistently
  • Prepare items using broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing, or other methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning, and marinating
  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen during the shift
  • Keep prepared food continuously flowing out of the kitchen
  • Stock and maintain sufficient food product levels at line stations for smooth service
  • Communicate ticket times and potential issues with expo, manager, and runners
  • Complete assigned prep work to stock and setup stations using standard portion sizes and recipes
  • Store and rotate all products properly
  • Break down and clean station or work area at shift end
  • Perform shift change and opening or closing duties
  • Assist other team members as needed
  • Help with food prep during off-peak periods
  • Properly close the kitchen following closing checklists
  • Attend staff meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager on duty
