Job Requirements
- Must be able to deal tactfully with staff, residents and visitors
- must be able to follow written instructions
- must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and appearance of work areas for regular inspection of food service areas for sanitation, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties
- must maintain confidentiality of resident information
- must attend required training and education sessions offered by the facility
- may be required to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc, in excess of fifty pounds with a team member or by self throughout the workday
- must obtain a Food Handlers Card within one month of hire date

- must have adequate reading abilities to read and understand diet cards, special diet menus, and other food service procedures
- must be able to deal tactfully with staff, residents and visitors

Job Duties
- Perform wait staff duties during the meal times
- greet guests, offer water and beverages, receive menu orders, communicate with the line cook, deliver orders and assist resident and guests with other dining needs as needed in a timely manner
- Clear, clean and set dining room tables as needed in a manner consistent with proper procedures to avoid cross contamination
- Make sure all condiments for daily special in house and to go are pre done prior to mealtime
- Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures as assigned and as needed
- Follow safety regulations at all times and follow established infection control and Universal Precautions, policies and procedures
- Maintain a pleasant dining environment for the residents, guests and staff
