Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2 to 4 years experience in food preparation
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to withstand repetitive reaching and bending
  • Responsible handling of hot equipment and sharp objects
  • Ability to navigate wet floors
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push a cart weighing up to 150 lbs
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varied hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2 to 4 years experience in food preparation
  • Completion of Cooking Practical for Line Cook I for internal candidates before promotion to Line Cook II
  • Ability to operate standard commercial kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail in food presentation

Job Duties

  • All phases of food preparation, production, and presentation for hot line and banquets
  • Checking in deliveries and dating product
  • Operation of standard commercial kitchen equipment
  • Set up, cleaning, sanitation, and closing of workstations and kitchen
  • Accurate testing of prepared food items to ensure proper temperature and quality
  • Labeling and dating products to ensure food safety and quality
  • General cleaning duties of area and equipment
