Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift and stock up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to understand and follow recipes and instructions
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Must be friendly and responsible
- For positions serving alcohol must be 21 years of age
- For internal transfers or rehires must have leader recommendation and HRBP approval as applicable
- May be asked to accept part-time positions if full-time is unavailable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bakery or food preparation experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to operate baking equipment and tools
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Job Duties
- Mixing weighing proofing baking frying decorating finishing and merchandising quality bakery products using Bashas' recipes
- Loading and unloading the oven at correct temperatures and duration for all product varieties
- Scaling cakes cupcakes sweet rolls breads cookies and other bakery items
- Assisting in ordering and receiving bakery products and supplies
- Controlling product inventory out of stocks shrink and supplies
- Using scale printer machine ensuring weights and pricing are correct
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of bench production storage areas and walk-in coolers and freezers
- Assisting in wrapping boxing weighing slicing finishing and stocking bakery department products with rotation for quality and safety
- Displaying goods following bakery department and merchandising guidelines
- Helping decorators with personalization and icing of cakes donuts sweet rolls and more
- Performing all other related duties as assigned
