Job Requirements
- US citizenship
- Selective Service registration required for males born after 12/31/1959
- Submission of SF50 form
- Designated or random drug testing required
- Successful completion of security investigation may be required
- Valid driver’s license
- Signed supervisory endorsement if selection is a promotion

Job Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of technology system interrelationships and management of aviation, navigation, and electronics systems
- Experience at a level of complexity equivalent to FAA Pay Band H/Level III or FG/GS-12
- Demonstrated abilities in handling technical challenges and project management in aviation systems
- Clear and concise narrative statements describing education, training, and experience for each demonstrated ability
- Ability to work independently and resolve unique problems without managerial intervention
Job Duties
- Serve as an ATSS (SSC Coordinator) responsible for NAS operations
- Perform complex analysis, design, development, installation, repair, fabrication, maintenance, modification, and evaluation of FAA systems
- Maintain technical expertise on legacy and new systems across large facilities or geographical areas
- Integrate, restore, test, and evaluate new service components and hardware/software systems
- Act as principal technical specialist and project manager for major NAS projects
- Provide technical guidance and coordinate solutions for unique technical problems
- Evaluate diagnostic data and monitor system status, assist in repair and restoration efforts
- Lead teams and monitor other employees on technical projects
- Manage all aspects of SSC projects including planning, specification review, implementation, inspections, and asset disposition
- Identify and track resource requirements for projects including staffing, materials, and equipment
- Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to FAA employees and contractors
- Apply operational risk management and ensure adherence to safety practices and PPE usage
- Report status of critical events and system availability to upper management
- Perform other duties as assigned
