Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree
  • minimum of 18 years of age
  • ability to pass criminal and motor vehicle background checks, drug tests
  • meet airport security badge requirements
  • legally authorized to work
  • excellent vision including ability to pass a color vision test
  • valid state driver's license or commercial driver's license if required
  • ability to exercise good judgment
  • ability to follow directions from supervisors and management
  • physical ability to operate vehicles and ground service equipment
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education degree

  • ability to pass company background checks, drug tests, and meet airport security badge requirements
  • legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
  • excellent vision and coordination including passing a color vision test for inspecting aviation fuel
  • valid state driver’s license or commercial driver’s license if local regulations require
  • ability to exercise good judgment and follow directions from management
  • preferred three to six months experience or training in aviation, customer service, or related field
  • excellent guest service skills with energetic, outgoing, and guest-obsessed personality
  • ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in English effectively
  • ability to perform simple arithmetic
  • physical ability to operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment safely
  • critical thinking and reasoning ability
  • excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration

Job Duties

  • work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures
  • collaborate, cooperate, and work closely with all team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to ensure service needs are met
  • proactively prepare for arriving/departing aircraft, identify and perform open job tasks, and immediately speak up and/or point out observed safety concerns
  • operate and drive ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stair trucks
  • load and unload luggage and other cargo into/out of aircraft and from/into the PAT, guest vehicle, or other mode of transportation
  • provide professional and friendly guest service while exhibiting a positive and helpful attitude at all times
  • offer safe, convenient, and courteous transportation when driving shuttle vehicle to transport guests, luggage and cargo
  • maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations
  • handle fuel including quality control, receipt, inventory and maintaining accurate related documentation
  • understand, comply with, and enforce all operational, safety, and guest service requirements
  • stop work when unsafe conditions or acts are likely to cause harm and report concerns to management
  • follow emergency response procedures during critical events
  • enforce all security protocols as dictated by Signature Aviation and the airport
  • create accurate records pertaining to time worked and services performed
