Job Requirements

  • Preferred aviation or customer service experience

  • Physical ability to operate equipment and perform job duties safely
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and emergency procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass background checks including criminal, motor vehicle, and drug tests
  • Meet airport security badge requirements
  • Legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction
  • Excellent vision and coordination including passing a color vision test for aviation fuel inspection
  • Valid state driver’s license, CDL as required
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and follow directions
  • Preferred 3 to 6 months experience or training in aviation, customer service or related field
  • Excellent guest service skills with energetic and outgoing personality
  • Ability to comprehend safety rules and operating instructions in English
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment safely
  • Ability to follow multi-step instructions
  • Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to complete training programs

Job Duties

  • Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to meet service needs including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power and potable water services, parking, marshalling, wing walking, delivering catering and towing
  • Proactively prepare for arriving and departing aircraft, perform open job tasks, and report safety concerns
  • Operate and drive ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stair trucks
  • Load and unload luggage and cargo into and out of aircraft and other transportation modes
  • Provide professional and friendly guest service with a positive and helpful attitude
  • Offer safe and courteous transportation when driving shuttle vehicles
  • Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations
  • Manage fuel handling including quality control, receipt, inventory and documentation
  • Enforce all operational, safety and guest service requirements
  • Stop work when unsafe conditions arise and report to management
  • Follow emergency response procedures
  • Comply with all security protocols
  • Create accurate records of time worked and services performed
