Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle
  • Pass drug tests
  • Meet airport background check requirements and maintain an airport security badge
  • Be insurable by company insurance policies
  • Legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
  • Excellent vision and coordination with ability to pass color vision test for fuel inspection
  • Possess a valid state driver's license
  • Commercial driver's license may be required depending on location
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and follow management directions
  • Preferred 3 to 6 months experience or training in aviation, customer service, or related field
  • Ability to provide exceptional guest service
  • Ability to read and understand safety and operational documents
  • Basic math skills
  • Physical ability to operate vehicles and equipment safely
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer literacy and ability to complete training modules
  • Ability to complete training programs successfully and timely

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle, drug tests, airport security badge requirements, and insurability
  • Legal authorization to work in the jurisdiction of employment
  • Excellent vision and coordination including ability to pass a color vision test for aviation fuel inspection
  • Valid state driver's license with possible requirement of CDL depending on location
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and follow supervisory instructions
  • Preferred 3 to 6 months experience or training in aviation, customer service or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience or training
  • Excellent guest service skills with energetic, outgoing, and guest-obsessed personality
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs and prioritize requests in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety documents and communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Physical ability to operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment and perform tasks safely from elevated heights
  • Ability to carry out multi-step instructions and handle standardized situations
  • Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
  • Ability to use computer and company software and complete training modules
  • Ability to successfully complete company training programs on time

Job Duties

  • Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and SOPs ensuring efficient and accurate communication
  • Collaborate and cooperate with team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to meet service needs including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power and potable water services, parking, marshalling, wing walking, catering delivery, and towing
  • Proactively prepare for arriving and departing aircraft, identify and perform open job tasks, report observed safety concerns
  • Operate and drive ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stair trucks
  • Load and unload luggage and cargo into and out of aircraft and other transportation modes
  • Provide professional and friendly guest service with a positive and helpful attitude ensuring exceptional guest experiences
  • Offer safe, convenient, and courteous guest transportation via shuttle vehicle
  • Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations
  • Handle fuel quality control, fuel receipt, inventory, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Understand and enforce operational, safety, and guest service requirements
  • Stop work and report unsafe conditions or acts
  • Follow emergency response procedures during critical events
  • Comply with all security protocols including physical, cyber, and data security
  • Create accurate records of time worked and services performed
