Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • minimum of 18 years of age
  • pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle
  • pass drug tests
  • meet airport background check requirements to maintain airport security badge
  • legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
  • excellent vision and coordination
  • pass color vision test for aviation fuel inspection
  • valid state driver’s license
  • commercial driver’s license (CDL) if required by location
  • good judgment and ability to follow supervisor directions
  • preferred experience or training in aviation or customer service or related field
  • ability to operate ground support equipment and motor vehicles
  • ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • minimum of 18 years of age
  • ability to pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle, drug tests, and meet airport background check requirements to receive and maintain an airport security badge
  • legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
  • excellent vision and coordination with ability to pass a color vision test for inspecting aviation fuel
  • valid state driver’s license, commercial driver’s license (CDL) required in some locations
  • good judgment and ability to follow directions from supervisors
  • preferred three to six months experience or training in aviation, customer service or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
  • excellent guest service skills with energetic and outgoing personality
  • ability to read and comprehend safety and operating documents in English
  • ability to communicate clearly in English in person, by telephone, radio, and in writing
  • ability to perform simple arithmetic
  • physical ability to operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment
  • critical thinking with ability to follow multi-step instructions

Job Duties

  • work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • collaborate, cooperate, and work closely with team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to ensure service needs are met including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power and potable water services, parking, marshalling, wing walking, delivering catering and towing
  • proactively prepare for arriving and departing aircraft, perform open job tasks, and report safety concerns immediately
  • operate ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stair trucks
  • load and unload luggage and cargo into and out of aircraft and from or into the private aviation terminal or guest vehicles
  • provide professional and friendly guest service while exhibiting a positive attitude
  • offer safe, convenient, and courteous transportation by driving shuttle vehicles
  • maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operational areas
  • handle fuel quality control, fuel receipt, inventory, and documentation
  • comply with all operational, safety, and guest service requirements
  • stop work and report unsafe conditions or acts, follow emergency response procedures
  • enforce security protocols including physical, cyber, and data security
  • create accurate records for time worked and services performed
