Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle
- Pass drug tests
- Meet airport background check requirements for airport security badge
- Be insurable by company insurance policies
- Legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
- Excellent vision and coordination
- Pass color vision test for aviation fuel inspection
- Possess valid state driver’s license or commercial driver’s license if required
- Exercise good judgment and follow supervisor instructions
- Preferred three to six months experience or training in aviation, customer service or related field
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Ability to pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle, drug tests, and meet airport background check requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
- Excellent vision and coordination, including ability to pass a color vision test for inspecting aviation fuel
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license or commercial driver’s license (CDL) where required
- Must be able to exercise good judgment and follow supervisor directives
- Preferred three to six months experience or training in aviation, customer service, or related field
- Excellent guest service skills with an energetic, outgoing, and guest-obsessed personality
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals in English
- Ability to communicate clearly in English verbally and in writing
- Basic math skills to perform arithmetic calculations
- Physical ability to operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment
- Ability to carry out multi-step instructions and manage standardized situations
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency in basic computer and email use as well as company software
- Ability to complete training programs successfully and timely
Job Duties
- Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate, cooperate, and work closely with all team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to ensure service needs are met
- Operate and drive ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stair trucks
- Load and unload luggage and cargo into/out of aircraft and other modes of transportation
- Provide professional and friendly guest service ensuring an exceptional experience
- Offer safe, convenient, and courteous transportation when driving shuttle vehicles
- Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations
- Fuel handling including quality control, receipt, inventory, and documentation
- Follow emergency response procedures during critical events
- Understand, comply with, and enforce all security protocols dictated by Signature Aviation and the airport
- Create accurate records pertaining to time worked and services performed
