Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle
  • Pass drug tests
  • Meet airport background check requirements for airport security badge
  • Be insurable by company insurance policies
  • Legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
  • Excellent vision and coordination
  • Pass color vision test for aviation fuel inspection
  • Possess valid state driver’s license or commercial driver’s license if required
  • Exercise good judgment and follow supervisor instructions
  • Preferred three to six months experience or training in aviation, customer service or related field

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle, drug tests, and meet airport background check requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
  • Excellent vision and coordination, including ability to pass a color vision test for inspecting aviation fuel
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license or commercial driver’s license (CDL) where required
  • Must be able to exercise good judgment and follow supervisor directives
  • Preferred three to six months experience or training in aviation, customer service, or related field
  • Excellent guest service skills with an energetic, outgoing, and guest-obsessed personality
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals in English
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English verbally and in writing
  • Basic math skills to perform arithmetic calculations
  • Physical ability to operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment
  • Ability to carry out multi-step instructions and manage standardized situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficiency in basic computer and email use as well as company software
  • Ability to complete training programs successfully and timely

Job Duties

  • Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate, cooperate, and work closely with all team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to ensure service needs are met
  • Operate and drive ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stair trucks
  • Load and unload luggage and cargo into/out of aircraft and other modes of transportation
  • Provide professional and friendly guest service ensuring an exceptional experience
  • Offer safe, convenient, and courteous transportation when driving shuttle vehicles
  • Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations
  • Fuel handling including quality control, receipt, inventory, and documentation
  • Follow emergency response procedures during critical events
  • Understand, comply with, and enforce all security protocols dictated by Signature Aviation and the airport
  • Create accurate records pertaining to time worked and services performed
