Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle, drug tests, and airport security badge requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
  • Excellent vision and coordination
  • Ability to pass a color vision test for inspecting aviation fuel
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required depending on location
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and follow directions from supervisors
  • Preferred three to six months experience or training in aviation, customer service or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training

Job Duties

  • Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and SOPs ensuring efficient and accurate communication to accomplish operational tasks
  • Collaborate closely with team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to ensure all service needs are met including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power and potable water services, parking, marshalling, wing walking, delivering catering and towing
  • Proactively prepare for arriving and departing aircraft, identify and perform open job tasks, and immediately report observed safety concerns
  • Operate and drive ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stair trucks
  • Load and unload luggage and cargo to and from aircraft, guest vehicles, or other transportation modes
  • Provide professional, friendly guest service with a positive attitude to ensure exceptional guest experience
  • Offer safe, convenient, and courteous transportation when driving shuttle vehicles for guests, luggage, and cargo
  • Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operational areas
  • Handle fuel quality control, fuel receipt, inventory management and maintain accurate fuel-related documentation
  • Enforce compliance with all safety, operational and guest service requirements
  • Stop work and report any unsafe conditions or acts to management and cooperate in addressing these issues
  • Follow emergency response procedures during critical events
  • Comply with all security protocols including physical, cyber and data security as dictated by Signature Aviation and airport regulations
  • Create accurate records related to time worked and services performed
