Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Ability to pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle
- Pass drug tests
- Meet airport background check requirements and receive/maintain airport security badge
- Be insurable by company insurance policies
- Must be legally authorized to work in jurisdiction of employment
- Excellent vision and coordination including passing color vision test for aviation fuel inspection
- Valid state driver’s license required
- Commercial driver’s license (CDL) required in some locations
- Ability to exercise good judgment
- Follow directions from supervisors and management
- Preferred three to six months experience or training in aviation, customer service or related field or equivalent combination
- Excellent guest service skills
- Ability to read and comprehend safety and operational documents in English
- Clear communication in English verbally and in writing
- Basic math skills
- Physical ability to operate ground support equipment
- Ability to follow multi-step instructions
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask
- Proficiency in computer use and company software

Job Qualifications

- Must be legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
- Excellent vision and coordination with ability to pass color vision test for inspecting aviation fuel
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license, commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required depending on location
- Ability to exercise good judgment and follow directions from supervisor
- Preferred three to six months of experience or training in aviation, customer service or related field or equivalent combination
- Excellent guest service skills with energetic and guest-obsessed personality
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals in English
- Clear communication skills in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Physical ability to operate motor vehicles and ground support equipment safely and efficiently
- Ability to carry out multi-step instructions

Job Duties
- Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate, cooperate, and work closely with all team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to ensure service needs are met including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power and potable water services, parking, marshalling, wing walking, delivering catering and towing
- Proactively prepare for arriving/departing aircraft, identify and perform open job tasks, and immediately speak up or point out observed safety concerns
- Operate and drive ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stair trucks
- Load and unload luggage and other cargo into/out of aircraft and from/into the PAT, guest vehicle, or other transportation
- Provide professional and friendly guest service while exhibiting a positive and helpful attitude at all times
- Offer safe, convenient, and courteous transportation when driving shuttle vehicles to transport guests, luggage, and cargo
- Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations
- Manage fuel handling including fuel quality control, fuel receipt, inventory, and maintaining accurate documentation
- Understand, comply with, and enforce all operational, safety, and guest service requirements
- Stop work when unsafe conditions or acts are identified and report concerns appropriately
- Follow emergency response procedures during critical events
- Understand, comply with, and enforce all security protocols as dictated by Signature Aviation and the airport
- Create accurate records pertaining to time worked and activities performed
