Job Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aviation Science, Airport Management, or a closely related field
  • Two years of experience in airport operations including compliance and facility inspections at a FAR Part 139 certified airport
  • Must pass department interview
  • Must pass Department of Justice fingerprint clearance
  • Possession of valid driver’s license at time of appointment
  • Possession of valid California driver’s license within 60 days of appointment
  • Provide proof of valid driver’s license and current driving record
  • Ability to sign confidentiality agreement

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aviation Science, Airport Management, or related field
  • Two years of experience in airport operations including compliance and facility inspections
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR Part 139) and related compliance standards
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements
  • Effective communication and organizational abilities
  • Valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the work of airport operations staff
  • Maintain compliance with FAA, TSA, and local airport regulations
  • Conduct inspections of the airfield, terminal, perimeter, grounds, and personnel
  • Monitor and interpret changes in federal, state, and local airport policies and regulations
  • Report and correct deficiencies in airport conditions or operations
  • Ensure adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (Part 139) and Transportation Security Administration requirements
  • Provide leadership and training to assigned staff
