Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience with projects governed by FAA and DOT standards, including familiarity with applicable regulations and design requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word and CAD design software
  • Ability to travel occasionally for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site inspections
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Willingness to relocate if residing in restricted states

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience with projects governed by FAA and DOT standards including familiarity with applicable regulations and design requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word and CAD design software
  • Ability to travel occasionally for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site inspections
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire
  • Four or more years of experience in civil engineering or a related field including at least one year of experience with aviation projects
  • Previous experience in airport planning, design, and construction

Job Duties

  • Perform detailed design of airport infrastructure projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, buildings, and utilities
  • Draft and design project plan sheets
  • Prepare construction documents including plans and specifications
  • Assist with project estimation and budgeting
  • Plan, design, and manage construction projects
  • Support professional engineers and project managers with project scoping, task hour budgets, schedules, fee proposals, and federal/state grant applications and management
  • Manage your own work activities and contribute to project team responsibilities providing regular status updates
  • Develop an understanding of current airport design standards and procedures
  • Work effectively in an empowered team environment with individual accountability
  • Handle moderately complex issues independently and escalate more complex issues to senior staff
