Job Requirements

  • Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license
  • Must pass a TSA fingerprint-based criminal history check and City of Eugene background check
  • Ability to analyze, design, and implement integrated IT and operational technology systems
  • Experience managing large technology projects, budgets, and vendor relationships
  • Ability to develop and enforce cybersecurity protocols
  • Proficiency in managing complex hardware, communications, network, and operating systems issues
  • Capability to work independently and exercise judgment within policies
  • Strong skills in fostering innovation, teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Ability to develop system-wide network policies and procedures
  • Willingness to supervise, train, and evaluate staff if assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Six years of progressively responsible experience in systems programming, data communications, hardware setup, maintenance, and installation
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Ability to achieve AAAE Certified Member within first year
  • Knowledge of advanced principles of information systems, network design, and cybersecurity management
  • Familiarity with FAA, TSA, and municipal IT compliance frameworks
  • Experience with project management, budgeting, and contract administration
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical audiences
  • Experience in public-sector IT governance and policy development
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills

Job Duties

  • Lead the Airport's IT master planning efforts and develop related budgets
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies consistent with TSA, FAA, and City standards
  • Direct coordination, maintenance, and configuration of airport specialized networks
  • Manage digital technologies enhancing passenger experiences, including digital signage and flight information displays
  • Oversee development and maintenance of airport-specific applications and pilot emerging technologies
  • Lead IT-related construction and renovation projects from design to implementation
  • Provide strategic leadership and represent the Airport on IT-related committees and working groups
