Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of customer service or hospitality experience
  • Ability to obtain all required security clearances including Custom Border Patrol badge access within six months of hire
  • Valid Class C Texas driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to perform long periods of walking on rough surfaces
  • Availability for shift work including rotation, weekends and holidays
  • Compliance with drug testing and physical examination requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in a customer service or hospitality environment
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Aviation Management, Business or related field preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak and translate English and at least one foreign language preferred
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Experience in airport operations preferred
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to operational challenges
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to maintain cooperative relationships with diverse stakeholders

Job Duties

  • Facilitates international passenger departures and arrivals through Federal Inspection Services in collaboration with Customs Border Protection leadership and stakeholders to exceed passenger processing goals
  • Uses multilingual skills to greet and assist international and domestic visitors and dignitaries including presidents of foreign countries, consul representatives, international officials, and government representatives
  • Promotes collaboration and values passenger, business partner and team member input to improve the international passenger processing experience
  • Manages customer service activities including information booth coverage and lost and found, seeking solutions to enhance airport five-star quality
  • Inspects and reports facility irregularities to maintain operational standards
  • Promotes a safe, secure, and healthy environment through compliance with Safety Management System
  • Enforces departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance related to operational activities
  • Supports International Services Department fiscal year budget goals
  • Assists with special events and the facilitation of dignitaries and VIPs
