Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- basic computer experience with ability to type at least 35 words per minute
- high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
- must possess good communication skills
- must be free of disqualifying crimes and pass a pre-employment drug test
- reliable transportation required
- must be able to work weekends, holidays and days off
- strong attention to detail
- must be able to read, speak and understand English
- other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- 4 year college degree in relevant field strongly preferred or equivalent experience
- high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
- strong understanding of ramp operations
- ability to read, fluently speak and understand English
- good communication skills and friendly outgoing personality
- experience with safety policy enforcement
- supervisory or management experience in aviation ground operations preferred
Job Duties
- Conduct monthly safety meetings for all employees
- conduct flight audits, station audits and at risk behavior audits
- participate in monthly company safety conference calls
- communicate and instill safety awareness in all employees including new hires
- coordinate manpower requirements for group movements, peak travel holidays and flight schedule changes
- oversee recruiting and placement efforts to meet staffing requirements
- ensure compliance with FAA, OSHA, EPA, US Dept. of Labor and EEOC regulations
- investigate and report aircraft damage or employee injury incidents and implement corrective action
- oversee disciplinary actions ensuring proper documentation and policy application
- coordinate operational purchases and maintain adequate supplies
- review payroll and daily hours ensuring budget adherence
- monitor operational irregularities costs and document approved out of scope expenses
- conduct weekly Lead/Supervisor meetings and daily equipment updates
- ensure compliance with uniform and appearance guidelines and inspect facilities daily
- review operational reports and ensure proper dissemination
- investigate service failures including delays and baggage mishandling
- administer station operational plans including deicing, safety and baggage plans
- complete personnel evaluations and liaise with customers and airport authorities
- respond to customer supervisory personnel concerns
- perform routine visits to local authorities and attend airport tenant, security and safety meetings
- perform other duties as assigned
